Raising Concerns About Domains In The Domain Match Program

Yahoo! Search Marketing's Domain Match product allows domain name registrants to provide links and advertising content to visitors. Though Yahoo! Search Marketing takes numerous steps to ensure the quality of the domains in its network, Yahoo! Search Marketing has no control over the ownership of these domains and is not involved in the domain registration process. Accordingly, Yahoo! Search Marketing encourages trademark owners to resolve any disputes over ownership and registration of any domains on the Domain Match system directly with the domains' registrants.

Yahoo! Search Marketing, however, will investigate any reasonable complaint of a trademark owner. If Yahoo! Search Marketing finds that the use of any domain violates our terms of service and/or violates applicable law, Yahoo! Search Marketing will remove any domain name from the Domain Match system.

In order to request such an investigation, please provide Yahoo! Search Marketing with the following:

1. Your company's contact information, including an authorized contact person's name, phone number, physical address and email address;
2. The specific trademark(s) at issue, including complete trademark registration or application information, if applicable;
3. The specific domain name(s) at issue;
4. The following statement: "I have a good faith belief that use of the trademark(s) described above in connection with the domain name(s) described above is not authorized by the trademark owner, and such use is not otherwise permissible under applicable law. I represent that the information in this notification is true and correct and that I am authorized to act on behalf of the trademark owner."
5. Signature of authorized contact person.
