Yahoo! Search Marketing’s budgeting feature enables you to manage your account funds more effectively. Daily budgeting is easy, efficient and lets you control the amount you spend on your campaign.

Managing your funds on a day-to-day basis can be time consuming. But neglecting this process can lead to several problems. For example, you could overspend, or your listing(s) could be taken offline due to a lack of funds in your account. Fortunately, the daily budgeting feature takes care of fund management and ensures a constant flow of customers.

Budgeting distributes your spending throughout the day and the month. This ensures that your listings appear online every day of the month and that you stay on budget.

To get started, you simply determine the amount you want to spend each day and set your daily budget. The Yahoo! Search Marketing budgeting feature then takes your daily budget and averages your spending evenly throughout the day, so you don’t use up all your budget on morning clicks.

For example, if you budget £100 a day, your listings are displayed at regulated intervals so that you receive clicks totaling approximately £100 throughout the day. The same principle applies to your monthly budget, which is automatically calculated by multiplying your daily budget by 30.

Your daily budget controls how much you spend each day. And since you can’t accidentally overspend or exhaust your budget too soon, you can experiment freely with keywords, listings and bid amounts to discover what methods drive the best results.

  • Click on the “Money Manager" tab
  • Determine your daily budget amount
  • Enter the amount in the daily budget field (Your monthly budget is calculated automatically from this amount.)

  1. Recognise under-budgeting When you consistently spend your full budget, you know that interested customers are clicking on your site. The problem is, you might be restricting the maximum flow of sales leads. Increasing your budget helps you drive more traffic and connect with more customers.
  2. Remember your budget when you make changes to your account Whenever you add or remove keywords, change your bid amounts, or adjust anything that affects the volume of traffic to your site, remember to adjust your budget accordingly.
