Step by Step

How to get your site listed in the search results

  1. Select your keywords
Think of a selection of keywords or search terms corresponding to the content of your site (Company Activity, your products, Promotional Offers). Ask yourself, if you were searching for your products and services using a search engine, what would you type in the box?

Quick Tip: If you are having trouble thinking of your keywords use our Keyword Assistant

  2. Write descriptions for your keywords
Write a short and factual title and description for each of your keywords. This short text will make it possible for the internet user to understand what your site offers. Choose the URL that the user will be directed to.

Quick Tip: Inserting your keyword into your title and description means that users are more likely to click on your link.

Please note that your keyword, titles and descriptions will be reviewed by our editorial team before they appear online.

  3. Control your budget & choose your payment plan
Control your budget by deciding the cost per click you are willing to pay for each keyword. The minimum bid for clicks start at $0.10. You can choose the position that you wish your site to appear by changing the amount you are prepared to pay for each click.

Quick Tip: To find out how much your competitors are paying on any given keyword: View Bids Tool.

Effectively control the spend on your account and simplify budget management by selecting our budgeting feature as your payment plan. Budgeting is the best solution to ensure you stay online throughout the month.

  4. Choose your position
Once your descriptions and keywords have been approved by our editorial team they will appear across our network of distribution websites, including the following sites: Yahoo!7, nineMSN, news.com.au, Ansearch, AltaVista and many more.

Quick Tip: Bidding for positions 1, 2 or 3 will maximise the number of impressions for your listing.

  5. Calculate your return on investment
Once you activate your account, your site will be accessible to Internet users searching for your product. You can track and optimise your campaigns using tools in Manage My Accounts.

  6. Maximise your coverage
To get even more targeted traffic to your site, make sure you switch on Content Matchâ„¢.
